There’s this one night I keep coming back to—late summer, city streets buzzing, but I was on a rooftop with a few friends. The sun had just dipped behind the skyline, leaving the sky streaked with purple and pink. The city was alive below us, but up there, it felt like we were in our own world. The distant horns, the hum of the train, the quiet between words—it said everything without saying anything at all.
It’s a moment that could easily fade, but the feeling of it stays, like a memory caught between the pulse of the city and the stillness of the night. A good storyteller could bring that moment back to life—capturing the buzz of the streets, the cool night air, and the way the lights flickered as we stood there. That’s the magic of a moment frozen in time: it stays with you, even when everything else moves on.
